My name is Jennifer Figueredo, and I opened Little Inspirations Family Childcare in 1992.
I am a graduate of Salem State University (Class of 1987). Before opening my program, I worked in a center-based childcare setting, as a nanny, and as a substitute teacher. I set a goal to use my teaching degree while also having a family and staying home with my children.
In 1996, I became a mom to identical twin boys. By then, I had been running Little Inspirations for about four years and had built a program that allowed me to care for both my own children and the children in my care. Working with children is a gift, and I feel blessed to have supported many families over the years — including a second generation of children, which is a true honor.
My experience as a Cub Scout leader, Sunday School teacher, lay assistant at my church, and Child Care Support Group President has given me many opportunities to grow as a leader. At Little Inspirations, children gain hands-on experiences that support learning through play, problem solving, nature, and academics. Our planned curriculum includes Sign Language and Spanish and supports all areas of development. Through guidance, structure, and flexibility, children are empowered to be the best they can be. Program Details
License Capacity: Licensed for 10 children in a mixed-age, home-based setting.
Care Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday.
Curriculum & Daily Experiences
Children at Little Inspirations experience a thoughtful balance of play, routine, and learning, including:
• Mixed-age group care that helps children learn from and support one another
• Hands-on learning through play, problem solving, and nature exploration
• A planned curriculum that includes Sign Language and Spanish
• Activities that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Daily routines that build independence, confidence, and positive self-esteem
